Our
History
Atxona Group history dates back to 1910 when Don Severiano Salvarredi Esnaola and his siblings departed from the province of Guipuzcoa, in the Basque Country, to Argentina.
They arrived with few belongings, but full of illusions, hope and with the dream, as many immigrants: of “make America”.
In 1,913, Don Severino with his wife and children (amongst them, Guillermo, our Atxona = that in Euskera means “GRANDFATHER”) settled down in Alto Verde, San Martín, Mendoza “the land of sun and good wines”.

Over the years, and guided by an accurate vision of the future, they decided to focus on viniculture, taking advantages of the excellent agroclimatic conditions that Mendoza offered, subsequently they could specialize on the growing of fresh grapes and on the production, store, packaging and trade of fruits in general.
The family tradition of determined effort, work and commitment has been handed down through three generations, marked by values of responsibility, dedication and team work.
